Petra Halkes will talk about her work, and about her recent artist’s residency at the DCR Guest Studios in The Hague. As a regular visitor to The Netherlands, Halkes is interested in links and exchanges between Canadian and Dutch artists. In 1999 she organized an exhibition of her own work and that of Channa Boon (The Hague) which was shown in Ottawa and St. Catherines. She invited Haarlem artist Chrystl Rijkeboer for a group show in 2005, and in 2002 she curated an exhibition with six Canadian artists at the Armando Museum in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

Artists interested in organizing residencies and exchanges are encouraged to attend.
